Job Description






We are seeking a Network Administrator - Level II to maintain and support our network infrastructure. The successful candidate will ensure network connectivity, provide incident management, and uphold network security across the sites across DC, VA, and MD. This role demands strong technical skills, a proactive approach to network management, and the ability to work collaboratively with other IT teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide maintenance and support for Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and wireless LANs.
  • Ensure network connectivity and optimal performance across the DC, VA, and MD Sites.
  • Utilize the Government incident management system (currently MHS ServiceNow) to track, manage, and resolve network-related incidents.
  • Respond to and resolve network-related issues that cannot be addressed remotely, providing on-site support when necessary.
  • Configure network hardware and software to meet organizational needs.
  • Troubleshoot network performance issues, identifying and implementing solutions to optimize network functionality.
  • Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other security threats.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with agency policies and standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, changes, and incidents.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on network performance, issues, and resolutions.
  • Work closely with other IT teams, including the IT Service Desk, to ensure coordinated efforts in maintaining network integrity and performance.
  • Communicate effectively with users, providing updates on network status and addressing any concerns or questions.
  • Stay current with the latest network technologies and best practices.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to network infrastructure and processes to enhance performance and reliability.
  • Provide training and support to users on network-related topics.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining standard operating procedures and knowledge base articles related to network administration.








Qualifications






  • One or more of the following (IAT II)
    • CCNA-Security
    • CySA+ **
    • GICSP
    • GSEC
    • Security+ CE
    • CND
    • SSCP
  • CE: Associate (professional preferred) level certificate for supported technology.
  • Four (4) years of progressive experience demonstrating the required proficiency.
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalency.
  • Secret Clearance

Preferred

  • Federal Consulting Industry Experience Preferred
