Position: Network Administrator 

 

Location: Tustin, CA

 

Pay: $90k to $110k a year

 

Position Summary 

The Network Administrator position within the NAF’s Technology Services team is a key role responsible for daily administration, operation and maintenance of NAF’s wide area networks, local area networks and remote access support to provide connectivity to end users for all applications in collaboration with the Technology Services team in US. 
 
The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, self-starter and a change agent with experience and desire to drive the organization to modern network technologies enabling zero trust network access.

This position will work closely with business groups, vendors, carriers, and other teams to analyze business and technical requirements to identify options, propose recommendations, and associated value propositions.   This position will research, evaluate, and recommend new tools and technologies for data networks and assess emerging technologies and make recommendations to management. 

Ideal candidates must possess attention to detail capabilities and adjust quickly to a constantly changing and fast paced environment. Must have strong communication and teamwork skills. Perform duties as assigned on RACI model(s). Must be comfortable working independently but also as part of a team.  









Responsibilities






 

Responsibilities 

  • Triage and resolve basic networking issues, optimizing local network performance, and implementing security measures to safeguard our systems. 
  • Escalation Point for Field Technicians  Serve as the primary escalation contact for field technicians who encounter complex network issues, providing advanced troubleshooting support and solutions in real-time. 
  • Help design and maintain local campus networks configured with high availability. 
  • Troubleshoot and administrate across the enterprise network. 
  • Act as a trusted advisor with businesses, internal teams, and remote users to ensure processes and tools are in place. 
  • Create documentation around project requirements, diagrams, run books, test plans, etc. to ensure successful lifecycle management. 
  • Plan and coordinate the implementation and lifecycle administration of network infrastructure.  
  • Troubleshoot complex incidents and problems, including escalation to appropriate 3rd party vendor support, to drive root cause analysis. 
  • Work with the Corporate Infrastructure and HelpDesk teams to ensure the network connectivity meets changing demands. 
  • Utilize monitoring tools to ensure optimum availability, capacity, and performance of network infrastructure. 
  • Participate in technical research to enable continuing innovation within the network infrastructure. 
  • Participate in on-call duties and after-hours duties. 
  • Travel to remote offices up to 10% of the time. 
  • Conduct after-hours maintenance. 
  • Other duties may be assigned to ensure stability of overall infrastructure. 








Qualifications






Qualifications:

 

  • Must possess intermediate level proficiency in routing, switching and firewalls with five or more yearsexperience. 
  • Proficiency in network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP). 
  • Must possess proficiency in network troubleshooting with four or more years’ experience. 
  • Must possess proficiency in wireless networks with four or more years’ experience. 
  • Must possess proficiency in complimentary security controls and the network meets all industry standards and complies with regulatory requirements. 
  • Experience with leading networking vendor platforms including Cisco, Meraki and Palo Alto  
  • Must possess network Security experience with various security ecosystem platforms 
  • Knowledge of application flows, packet capture, and analysis.  
  • Experience with network monitoring tools 
  • Understanding of network and security architecture, site reliability engineering etc. 
  • Must possess strong troubleshooting skills.  
  • Must possess knowledge of cloud technologies and cloud infrastructure. 

Education and Certification 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.  
  • CCNA, CompTIA+ in addition to Network Vendor Certifications  

 

 

 

Desired Education/Experience:

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years’ Network Administration experience with enterprise-level or service-provider network support.
  • Working knowledge of Veeam software.
  • Network certification (CCNA, JNCIA) preferred but not required.
  • A bachelors’ degree in computer science or a related field.
