Position Summary






Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for a Network Administrator supporting the Air National Guard (ANG) Remote Piloted Aircraft (RPA) Special Operations Center (SOC). This position is located in Springfield, Ohio.









Responsibilities






Duties include, but not limited to: 

  • Interfacing with fellow contractors and military/government clients, helping to shape their IT, networking, communication, and infrastructure. Provide direct, hands-on network engineering expertise to help design, install, and maintain RPA SOC network architectures. Troubleshoot and resolve highly technical core service outages and other complex IT system issues. Test and evaluate network systems to eliminate problems and improve client core enterprise services in support of Army users. Work effectively with stakeholders, including site leads and program managers, end users, and technical staff to develop, test, implement, and sustain critical IT infrastructure security architectures and networked systems. Work in a team-oriented environment that combines technical network engineering talent with business consulting expertise to deliver high quality IT solutions.
  • The candidate must be familiar with patch management software (e.g. WSUS, SCCM, etc.). Design, develop, and recommend integrated security system solutions that will ensure proprietary and confidential data and systems are protected. Provide technical engineering services for the support of integrated security systems and solutions. Interface with the client in the strategic design process to translate security and business requirements into technical designs. Configure and validate secure complex systems and test security products and systems to detect security weakness.
  • Candidate shall perform system administration of RPA-SOC databases and software. The contractor shall analyze, troubleshoot and maintain RPA-SOC computer and network systems including troubleshooting LAN/WAN communications, firewalls, operations support for Microsoft Windows operating systems, and networks at classification levels of Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI), Secret and Unclassified not supported by the local base communications.
  • The candidate shall troubleshoot connectivity issues RPA SOC equipment between the various nodes of the RPA-SOC enterprise system at classification levels of Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), Secret and Unclassified not supported by the local base communications. Ensure proper configuration of routers, Asynchronous Transfer Mode equipment to include but not limited to switches, firewalls, crypto and other communications equipment necessary for the successful operation of the RPA-SOC. This includes moderate level of troubleshooting and maintenance of Audio Multi-Level Security (MLS). Monitor hardware and software systems for failures.








Qualifications






Minimum Required Qualifications:

 

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and will need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI is required.

Certifications: Security+ CE Certification or similar DOD 8570 IAT II certification

  • +/- 5 years of experience with networking, including network design, testing, development, and integration
  • Experience with using enterprise architecture tools, including SolarWinds, Kiwi, CatTools, or Orion
  • Experience with COTS network infrastructure technologies (Cisco)
  • Knowledge of industry best practices for designing, implementing, and maintaining network security and service availability throughout the system life cycle
  • Ensure designs meet applicable security technical implementation guides (STIGs)
  • Identify technical applicability, remediate, and support mitigation of IAVA notices and support metric reporting
  • Experience in VMWare virtualized environment
  • Research, interpret, and provide technical policy guidance pertinent to information and system security
  • Exercise creative thinking and ideation to advance our business performance
  • Deliver innovative, flexible, integrated solutions to meet customers changing business needs
  • Support and engage in programs, projects and practices and strategy, and comply with all policies and procedures
  • Follow industry and department trends and developments to ensure services are consistent with, and/or superior to, industry best practices
  • Knowledge of computer networking and network-based information assurance devices

This position has rotating shifts every 90 days. 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) Certification

Other desired certifications include: Microsoft Fundamentals Certification, CCNA, VMWare VCTA
