The position:

The Business Development Representative (BDR) works at the top of the funnel, as the first touch point for our entire sales organization. The BDR sits at the intersection between our Marketing and Sales teams. The primary role is to make direct contact with a predefined target prospect list and generate interest in Pipl and its products. This includes contacting and developing relationships with potential customers. This job relies heavily on the ability to communicate over the phone (video), via email, social media and various 3rd party systems.

To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience on the top side of the sales funnel, downstream from marketing. You will use your communication skills to build strong relationships with customers, from first contact to qualification of an opportunity. You will need to have a service mindset with a goal of helping our prospects and customers. If you are career minded, motivated, results-driven, and enjoy working in a team environment this could be the perfect fit for you!

What you’ll do:

  • Contact potential clients through warm/cold calls, emails, social media and in-app chat;
  • Exceed revenue goals on a quarterly basis;
  • Accurately track all opportunity and customer details in the CRM;
  • Present Pipl product offerings to potential clients;
  • Identify client needs;
  • Set up virtual meetings between potential clients and correct sales team;
  • Ensure best in class customer satisfaction throughout the sales process;
  • Nurture warm prospects and find new potential sales outlets;
  • Work with the Customer Success team to properly serve our clients better, through new products or deeper integrations with current products.

You are:

  • 1 years experience in either sales, marketing, customer success or related roles that are prominently customer facing;  
  • Ability to build relationships with prospects quickly & sincerely at every touch point; 
  • Experienced in lead qualification;
  • Excellent phone/video presence and interpersonal skills;
  • Clear & engaging communicator; both verbal and written;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills;
  • Strong ability to take initiative;
  • Proven follow-up skills.
