DescriptionAs a Senior Software Engineering Manager, you will be a part of multiple teams that own full ownership of a mission-critical services powering OCI cloud. You will define, design, develop, and run tier-0 services. You should be able to understand broad systems interactions, be hands-on, be able to dive deep into any part of the technical stack, and have a good sense of cloud infrastructure, networking and database knowledge. You should value simplicity and impact, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn.
The ideal candidate will be both technically strong and excellent in people management. You understand operational excellence and know-how to infuse a culture of being proactive within your team. You have the ability to recommend and justify changes to new and suggest improvements in existing products and establish consensus with data-driven approaches.

Responsibilities
- Lead a strong Engineering team who are responsible for developing and maintaining tier-0 services; quickly build features, detect, debug, and mitigate any production issues
- Partner with remote, geographically distributed teams and customers effectively and efficiently
- Be very technically hands-on and own/drive key engineering initiatives and improvements
- Help drive design and build distributed, scalable, highly available and fault-tolerant software systems
- Participate in the entire software lifecycle β development, testing, CI and production operations
- Leverage a plethora of internal tooling at OCI to develop, build, deploy and troubleshoot software
- Participate in on-call for the service with the team and drive operational success of the cloud service we build
- Work closely with senior management and architects
- Build a high performing team by hiring and nurturing top talent
- Decisive and data driven to ensure uptime of the service
