General Duties:

Play a key role at Field Aerospace with primary goal to create and modify software applications that meet the needs of the business. Responsible for managing in house applications and troubleshooting issues when they occur.

Essential Job Functions:

• Develop applications and data transfer interfaces to pre-existing data sources using industry standard best practices to meet the needs of the business;

• Modify pre-existing applications as required;

• Support back-end database development as required;

• Support other IT systems as the need arises;

• Work closely with business and project managers to understand and maintain focus on the needs of the business;

• Locate and define new process improvement opportunities;

• Train end users on new in-house developed applications;

• Transform business requirements into design concepts;

• Translate business requirement into non-technical, layman’s terms.


Skills and Experiences:

• 1-3 years in a software development or relevant role;

• Prior experience with database and model design;

• Programming experience with frameworks such as XML preferred;

• Proven working experience as a software developer;

• Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques;

• Experience/Knowledge developing with Visual Studio.Net (Visual Basic), Java and Oracle JET;

• Experience developing both windows and web-based applications;

• Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Reports Now, Crystal Reports, etc.);

• Ability to obtain data from an enterprise database (Sql Server, Oracle, Etc.) using SQL and other methods to retrieve data, often pulling data from multiple data sources;

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy;

• Exposure to JD Edwards Database Schemas a plus but not required;

• Proven track record developing integrations between business systems.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management or a related field is required (new college graduates may be considered for the position)

Physical Requirements:

Reports to: Chief Information Officer, working with the executive management team
