Exadata Database machine, one of the most successful products in Oracle’s history, provides a fully integrated and optimized engineered system for running Oracle databases with the best performance, scalability and high availability for data warehousing, OLTP and consolidated workloads. The candidate will be part of the X-Team, a global team that works with Exadata customers, both on premise and in the Cloud (ExaC@C, ExaCS). We contribute to the development, promotion and implementation of best practices on Exadata deployments. We are also asked to assist Support and account teams in resolving escalations for Exadata customers.

This position is for a Principal member of the technical staff
The candidate will work with Oracle customers to:
- Assist with deployments of Exadata both on premise and in the Cloud (ExaCC/ExaCS)
- Work with core and sustaining development teams to diagnose complex networking and OS problems
- Promote best practises with engineering systems
- Implement clear strategies in Cloud operational management.
- Validate enhancement requests
The candidate will work internally to:
- Test new releases of Exadata software and firmware
- Contribute to the elaboration of best practices
- Contribute to initiatives that improve overall product and documentation quality
- Participate in the thought process on new feature implementation
- Present detailed understanding of new technologies
