As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

Colorado Pay Range: from $84,000 to $209,000 per annum eligible for bonus and equity.

ResponsibilitiesJoin our Oracle Virtualization Engineering team for Oracle Private Cloud Appliance. These cutting-edge virtualization technologies use Kubernetes, Java and Python to manage large-scale data centers and create virtualization & cloud solutions.
You responsibilities will include developing software for engineered systems, releasing errata releases, problem diagnostics, resolving issues in customer & development systems.
Candidates should have the following skills:
10+ years experience in Software Engineering
5+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, Python, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design
10+ years of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
Experience with algorithms and data structures with excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Experience designing, analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems, storage and networking
Experience in any Cloud technology, Micro services architecture and Kubernetes
Strong debugging skills
Good communication skills
Virtualization knowledge around KVM, libvirt & qemu is nice to have
Experience in Prometheus, RabbitMQ, Grafana and MySQL Clusters is a strong plus
Experience working in a Linux environment and operational knowledge of Enterprise Linux distributions (Oracle, Red Hat, CentOS, or SuSE) is very important.
