Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimize AI/ML models for manufacturing, supply chain, and business intelligence applications.
- Develop and deploy AI-powered solutions using Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and relevant frameworks.
- Collaborate with data engineers and software developers to integrate AI models into existing systems (MES, ERP, etc.).
- Conduct data analysis, feature engineering, and model training using real-world manufacturing datasets.
- Implement AI/ML monitoring, validation, and retraining processes to ensure model accuracy and reliability.
- Work closely with external AI solution providers to understand emerging trends and best practices.
- Participate in AI roadmapping discussions, gaining exposure to AI deployment strategies across business functions.
- Assist in evaluating new AI technologies, tools, and vendor solutions for potential adoption and enhance internal AI capabilities.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years working experience in manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 1 year experience in AI/ML, preferably in manufacturing, supply chain, or industrial automation.
- Exposure to MES, ERP, IoT, or manufacturing automation is advantageous.
- Experience in industrial AI applications (e.g., predictive maintenance, quality inspection, supply chain optimization) is a plus.
- Prior experience working with AI vendors or research institutions is beneficial but not required.
Skills
- Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and cloud-based AI/ML platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, etc.
- Knowledge of database management, APIs, and software development principles.
- Willingness to learn AI strategy, roadmapping, and collaboration with external AI providers.
- Good communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams and external partners.
