Job Summary
The Mapleton Foundry is one of the largest in the United States and home to the largest core making machine in the world! Working at the foundry is hard work that demands focus and safety, quality, and commitment to helping our customers build a better world.  We are looking for a Robotics Automation Controls Engineer who will be the lead on Fanuc robot implementations that are necessary across several automation projects. This engineer will be the subject matter expert in design, development, implementation, and troubleshooting of robots to be used in current or future automated systems. They will also assist in the design, development, and implementation of industrial automated control systems. A desire to push robotics to the edge of their known functionality will be required to execute robotic implementations in a foundry manufacturing environment.


What you will do: 

  • Leading projects to deploy robotic systems; Consults the team for programming, debugging and troubleshooting robotic and automated systems.
  • Partnering with support teams for root cause corrective actions for application software troubleshooting.
  • Consults on automated system applications; assists in maintaining the standards and documentation for robotic system applications.

Skills you will have:  

  • Project Administration: Working knowledge of project administration best practices and ability to use organizational strategies, practices and tools for administering projects. 
  • Problem Solving: Extensive knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations. 
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Extensive knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools, and techniques; ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical issues on hardware, software, application, or operation. 
  • Knowledge of Robotics: Working knowledge of designing, programming, and operating robots for various applications; ability to utilize programming languages and robotics knowledge to automate the necessary operations of the organization. 
  • Industrial Automation/Automatic Control: Working knowledge of various industrial automatic control systems, processes and methodologies in a manufacturing environment; ability to design, implement and maintain automatic production systems/processes to improve productivity and efficiency, as well as minimize human intervention. 
  • Robotics/Computer Controlled Machinery: Working knowledge of robotics technologies and computer-controlled machinery; ability to implement and operate robotics and computer controlled machinery in an automated manufacturing environment.

Summary Pay Range:

$95,640.00 - $143,520.00
