A Corp Lab in NTU is looking for a motivated Research Scientist to conduct cutting-edge research in the topic of βGreen Cloud Computingβ.
Key responsibilities:
Developing physics-based and data-driven models to characterize dynamics of the interconnected data center systems, including computing, cooling and electric supply;
Developing optimization algorithms to minimize carbon usage subject to certain system constraints;
Supervising junior graduate students;
Writing technical reports, including papers, patents and technical disclosures;
Working closely with team members/engineers and assist in developing new features;
Ensuring responsiveness of applications;
Diagnosing the issue and resolving it on demand.
Job Requirements:
PhD Degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, control and science engineering, information system or a related discipline;
Strong research record, preferably on top-tier computer science/engineering conferences or journals;
Proficiency with Python and relevant packages, like NumPy, Pandas, PyTorch or Tensorflow;
Experience in other programming languages, like C/C++, MATLAB
Excellent verbal communication skills and good problem solving skills;
Attention to detail.
