Position Description:
Designs and develops Web applications using Web technologies including HTML, CSS, TypeScript, JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks (Angular or React), using Web components including RxJs, NgRx, supported by RESTful Web services. Adhering to development standards using tooling (ESLint, Webpack, Grunt, and Gulp) and Integrated Developer Environments (IDEs) (Visual Studio Code). Develops unit tests using test frameworks -- Mocha, Jasmine, and Jest. Develops end to end tests using Cypress and Puppeteer. Designs and consumes RESTful Application Programs Interfaces (APIs) to deliver experiences using Apollo GraphQL and Node JS. Integrates new modularized applications with new Web experiences using Angular micro frontends and module federations. Monitors production health using Splunk Dashboard and Alerts.
Primary Responsibilities:
Collaborates with architecture, security, and UXD to build architecturally compliant applications while integrating shared reusable libraries.
Guides the development of stable, robust, and resilient applications using tools and frameworks.
Coordinates quarterly upgrades to NX mono repositories.
Designs and implements Web applications.
Provides on-call production support on a rotation basis.
Build features with accessibility compliant features.
Participates in requirement gathering and assists in sizing estimate epics of work.
Provides technical guidance to new team members.
Reviews pull requests to ensure quality code is delivered.
Monitors pipeline and build status.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Front End Developer (or closely related occupation) developing adaptive, personalized digital applications using front end and middle-tier technologies in an e-commerce platform or financial services environment.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Front End Developer (or closely related occupation) developing adaptive, personalized digital applications using front end and middle-tier technologies in an e-commerce platform or financial services environment.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) developing modular and component-based Web applications (front end and middle tier) using Angular, React, and Node; performing unit testing using Jest, Jasmine, Karma, and Mocha; performing end to end testing using Cypress; and handling states using Redux and NgRx
DE analyzing and refining technical requirements using Jira; partnering with enterprise architecture on Web application solutions with technical diagrams; and implementing typed applications in a reusable manner, using Visual Studio Code.
DE developing Web applications that are fully adaptive, fully accessible, and meet factor needs (Desktop, Tablet, and Phone), using Chrome emulator.
DE developing performant Web applications that scale to meet TPS requirements using Chrome profiler; and providing all aspects of production support using Splunk and conducting life cycle application upgrades.
