Description

We’re looking for a Lead Developer within the Customer Success Org with AI (Artificial Intelligence) focus to join our Customer Success Operations team. You will become a specialist in our business domain and take the time to deeply understand our internal Customer Success AI goals. These would be inhouse created AI implementations primarily using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure GenAI/RAG functionality and Cohere LLM models, along with development integration with our internal instance of the NetSuite product. This role is for someone who wants to help design the architecture of new and integrated AI functionality within the Customer Success organization as well as drive and discuss clean software design. You care about quality as well as clean code, code reviews, and can understand the business need of key stakeholders withing the Customer Success Organization. In this role, you will have plenty of opportunities and room to innovate, become a better developer, and development leader through the use of Oracle Cloud infrastructure features/functionality, Cohere LLM, and NetSuite. 

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Related Field.

- 6+ years of overall experience as a Software Developer 
- 2+ years experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or equivalent cloud infrastructure or equivalent
- 1-2 years experience solutioning/developing of Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions/integrations. 
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization internally and with customer executives. 
- Experience in building and designing applications using Gen AI technologies & RAG. 
- Familiarity with prompt engineering and other techniques to enhance language model accuracy. 
- Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and ability to build frameworks using OCI services or equivalent 
- Utilize Oracle's product stack AI model development and deployment. 
- Excellent knowledge of multiple programming languages such as Java, Perl or Python and Scripting such as Shell or Bash. 
- Experience with NetSuite product desired. 
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to abstract functional requirements. 
- Excellent understanding of software development lifecycle and planning tools, such as Jira. 
- Intimate understanding of modern web applications and extensive experience with database-driven applications.

Responsibilities

As a member of the Customer Success Operations team, you will:  
•    Be a lead in Architect and developer Artificial Intelligence (AI) complex features and integrations in close collaboration with other senior technical leaders in the team and business stakeholders 
•    Guide and aid less senior developers in their development tasks 
•    Utilize the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), GenAI, RAG, Cohere systems available to you to meet development goals 
•    Develop new tools as well as refine our existing tools to utilize new AI features/functionality 
•    Prompt Engineering: Utilize prompt engineering techniques to improve the accuracy and performance of language models. Develop strategies to optimize prompt design for specific applications and use cases. 
•    Deployment and Automation: Automate the testing and deployment processes of language models to production environments. Ensure smooth integration with existing systems and frameworks. 
•    Analyze complex requirements, collaborating closely with your technical product managers and other stakeholders. 
•    Define our work plan in our collaborative Agile planning tool (Jira). 
•    Contribute to the implementation and testing phase, personally and/or collaboratively with developers. 
•    Author and/or review technical documentation for new features, collaborating with Technical Writers. 
•    Perform other design, development tasks as required.

Canada: Hiring Range from $66,700 to $145,000 CAD per annum 
US: Hiring Range: from $87,000 to $178,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity. 

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
