Job Description: 

On behalf of our client, we are looking for an Oracle Database Developer/Architect. The candidate should have progressive experience in architecting, designing, and modeling schemas, data structures, and data warehouses for Oracle databases in multi-tiered environments.

 

Job Responsibilities: 



  • Collaborate with internal business resources and technical teams/SMEs to understand data sources 


  • Research and evaluate information sources to determine possible limitations in reliability or usability 


  • Translating business functions into conceptual, logical, and physical data models. 


  • Determine data management lifecycle requirements such as data archival, retention and retirement


  • Understanding of data security and data access controls and design aspects 


  • Proficient with Data modeling tools such as Erwin 


  • Proficient in developing stored procedures using PL/SQL and developing efficient views


  • Support development teams in developing SQL queries


  • Experience with databases such as Oracle and AWS RDS









Requirements

Job Requirements



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other related disciplines


  • 5+ years’ experience integrating data from disparate sources 


  • 5+ years experience in Agile development methodologies 


  • 5+ years’ Data Warehouse experience. Candidate must have experience with designing Data Warehouse schemas


  • Strong understanding of MDM policies including cleansing, normalization, and standardization.


  • Demonstrated experience with Configuration Management tools


  • Experience in Data Mapping and Data Migration


  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 


  • Must demonstrate the ability to work under high pressure in a complex multi-threaded environment


  • Demonstrated capability to learn, rapidly utilizing good problem-solving skills


  • Desire to learn and document new tools


  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment


  • Prior experience architecting databases and warehouses for Appian BPMS solutions is a plus
