Job Summary:

The Network Administrator is responsible for the management of the servers’ infrastructure and workstations fleet, from a software and hardware perspective.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:  

  • Manage the servers and respond to any software and/or hardware issues
  • Maintain computer networks and systems including software, mainframes, VPNs, routers and other physical hardware
  • Install and configure network equipment to update or resolve hardware and/or software issues
  • Maintain network security, update virus protection software 
  • Manage the corporate network security programs.   Communicate with employees when new courses are available and ensure timely completion by employees
  • Monitor computer systems to improve network performance and make recommendations for improvements and modifications
  • Communicate network issues to impacted employees and management
  • Identify and resolve software and hardware configuration issues
  • Mentor and train less senior staff
  • Acknowledge and respond to Help Desk requests as needed
  • Create and document processes
  • Ensure 24/7 operational service level via on-call duty
  • Other projects and duties as assigned by manager

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in in Information Technology or relevant experience in lieu 
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Network Administrator, preferably in a technology organization
  • Demonstrated proficiency and understanding of various types of hardware
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Must be able to communicate at a high level in French and English
  • Certifications in Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+ or MS Windows Server and Windows Client, preferred not required
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Good time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
