Network Administrator

 Velocity Network, Inc. is Northwest Pennsylvania's leading technology services firm. We are a network of experienced IT professionals, telephony and Internet teams, and hardware and software specialists working together to provide enterprise-level practices and solutions for the business sector. 

We currently have a Network Administrator position available.  This position is responsible for the design and implementation of VNET's internal systems, including customer-facing hosted and cloud environments, as well as providing technical assistance to team members from other technical departments. Qualified Candidates will have the following skill set:

• Design and implementation at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security
• IT support relating to issues with the internal systems and network infrastructure
• Documentation for all server systems and network infrastructure
• Support services for network routing, VoIP, and video over IP protocols
• Network configuration and troubleshooting:  Juniper Junos OS, Cisco IOS XE, XR, and NX-OS
• Firewall configuration and troubleshooting: SonicWALL, Cisco ASA, and/or Fortinet FortiGate
• Understanding of both IPv4 and IPv6 protocols

Additional preferred skills include:

• Design and implement backup and disaster recovery solutions
• Support for Microsoft 365 Cloud Services: Entra, Intune, Exchange, Sharepoint, Teams, etc.
• Support services for Microsoft related technologies: Windows Workstation and Server, SQL, IIS, etc.
• Support services for Linux related technologies: Linux, Apache, MariaDB and PostgreSQL, etc.
• Support services for virtualization technologies: VMware ESXi
