The Florida Bar’s IT Operations department is seeking to hire a network administrator whose responsibilities include the design, installation, configuration, monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of the organization's local area (LAN) and wide area (WAN) networks.
A successful candidate must be knowledgeable of networking best practices and possess the ability to manage various network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. This position will also contribute to disaster recovery planning, incident response, IT security initiatives, and other system administration efforts as needed.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in one of the computer sciences or related field and two years of network administration experience; additional related experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis.
Knowledge of:
- Enterprise IT architecture and networking fundamentals
- Enterprise system administration concepts
- Enterprise network security best practices
Skilled in:
- Network device configuration and management
- Administration of Cisco network equipment including Firewalls, Switches, and Routers
- Administration and configuration of Cisco Meraki-based Wi-Fi devices
- Process and System Documentation and Reporting
Ability to:
- Interpret policies and procedures
- Troubleshoot, identify, and solve problems
- Determine priorities
- Communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing
- Work in a team environment
- Consistently provide an excellent service-oriented attitude
- Use discretion and independent judgment
