Moffatt & Nichol specializes in large complex waterfront infrastructure projects and is recognized as one of the worldwide leaders in this field. We are actively looking for a Network Administrator to join our IT team.  As part of the IT Group, the Network Administrator administers and supports the firm’s network and server infrastructure.   Maintains the network and server environment and is also responsible for implementation of new systems. Provides guidance to junior staff members.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide end user support of server and network systems
  • Maintain and support Windows Server and Active Directory infrastructure
  • Implement, upgrade and maintain network infrastructure including switches, wireless infrastructure and firewalls
  • Configure and manage Exchange and Office 365 environment
  • Maintain network monitoring solution
  • Maintain and update network and server inventory
  • Implement, configure and manage VMware virtualization environment
  • Facilitate support of Citrix XenDesktop infrastructure
  • Maintain and support EMC Avamar enterprise backup solution
  • Implement, upgrade and maintain license systems
  • Configure and manage Panzura environment
  • Provides results to break fix related work through end user submittals as well as project based assignments

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable IT industry experience (minimum 4 years); required
  • Experience managing two or more of the following technologies (required): 
    • VMware
    • Windows Server
    • Active Directory
    • DNS
    • Cisco networking
    • Exchange
    • Office 365
    • Citrix
    • Panzura
    • EMC Avamar Backup
  • Proven track record of being able to work with minimal supervision to complete projects in a timely manner; required
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation) 
  • All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171

 Base salary range:  

$96,815 to $118,329 based on years of experience, level of education obtained, professional registration, and meeting required qualification in job description. 

Base salary range only applicable for candidates who will be hired and working in the California market.    

Physical requirements: 

Work is generally performed in an office or client office setting.  Sedentary for prolonged periods of time, interact with clients, and occasional travel.
