SUMMARY:


The Network Administrator manages and maintains Gracelight Community Health (Gracelight) network, servers, and Microsoft cloud services infrastructure.  Key duties include designing, deploying, and ensuring the high performance and security of the network, configuring and troubleshooting network devices, and administering cloud services such as Azure and Office 365. The role also involves implementing security measures, monitoring network performance, and maintaining accurate documentation. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a commitment to modern security practices, and flexibility to work at all locations and during all business hours as needed.


 


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  1. Supports and implements Gracelight’s vision, mission, and values; fosters and promotes a culture of service excellence and accountability.

  2. Demonstrates flexibility to change and to evolving healthcare needs, organizational changes, and advancements in the field.

  3. Designs, deploys, and maintains the organization's network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.

  4. Configures and troubleshoots network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.

  5. Monitors network traffic and performance, identifying and addressing issues proactively.

  6. Administers Microsoft cloud services, including Azure, Office 365, and Intune, to support the organization's IT operations.

  7. Manages user accounts, licenses, and permissions within Microsoft cloud environments.

  8. Implements and maintains cloud-based solutions for collaboration, communication, and data storage in SharePoint and Teams.

  9. Implements and maintains security measures to protect systems, networks, and data from unauthorized access and cyber threats.

  10. Monitors security logs and conducts regular security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate risks.

  11. Remains ahead of emerging security threats and technologies to enhance the organization's security posture.

  12. Maintains accurate documentation of network configurations, system configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.

  13. Generates reports on network performance, security incidents, and HIPAA compliance status for management review.

  14. Must be willing and able to work at all locations as needed to meet patient care needs.

  15. Must be willing and able to work all business hours including evenings and weekends.

  16. Performs other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or equivalent work experience.

  2. Industry certifications such as Azure AZ-104, Azure AZ-900, Microsoft 365 Admin, CCNA, or CompTIA Security+ are preferred.

  3. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Systems Administrator preferably in a Healthcare setting

  4. Proficient in Modern Security Standards and Compliance Regulations.

  5. Proficiency in configuring and managing network devices and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPNs.

  6. Strong understanding of Microsoft cloud services, including Azure, Office 365, and Intune.

  7. Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell for automation.

  8. Experience working in a healthcare environment and a thorough understanding of HIPAA regulations. (Preferred)

  9. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  10. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.

  12. Valid driver’s license with current automobile insurance.

  13. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

  14. Regular on-site presence required.

  • Physical: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms, including overhead work. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is regularly required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit. The employee is occasionally required to push/pull objects up to 50 lbs, and to regularly lift/carry objects up to 25 lbs. Frequently required to perform moderately difficult manipulative tasks such as typing, writing, etc. The employee is occasionally required to ascend and descend stairs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

  • Sensory: The employee is frequently required to read documents, written reports, and plans. Ability to compose routine reports and correspondence. Must be able to distinguish normal sounds with some background noise, as in answering the phone, interacting with staff, etc. Must be able to speak clearly and understand/be understood using the English language.

  • Cognitive: The employee is frequently required to concentrate on moderate detail with constant interruption. Must be able to attend to a task/function for 20-45 minutes at a time. Frequently required to understand and relate to specific ideas, several at a time. Must be able to remember multiple tasks/assignments given to self and others over a period of several days. Must be able to analyze information, problems, situations, practices, or procedures. Must be able to analyze complex technical data using qualitative and quantitative sources of information to formulate logical and objective conclusions and to recognize alternatives and their implications. Must be able to carry out instructions delivered in written, oral or in other daily situations that arise and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • Environmental: Frequent exposure to varied office and mixed (health center/office) environments. Occasional exposure to toxins and poisonous substances, dust, and loud noises.


SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:



  • Must be able to meet and receive a criminal records clearance, as required by Title XXII, other licensing regulations, and Gracelight practices.

  • This position may require occasional driving for business purposes. A valid California driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, current personal auto insurance as required by law, and an MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) sufficient to obtain and reasonably maintain insurability under the agency's auto liability policies are essential job requirements.

  • A personal cell phone with reliable service and a data plan to use for business purposes.

  • May be required to obtain and maintain First Aid and CPR certification.
