The Information Security Analyst will report to the Associate Director of Security Operations and Threat Management and function as a key member within the Proskauer Security Operations and Threat Management team. This role will serve as a technical resource responsible for event handling, threat modeling, and analysis, working to protect the Firm enterprise and serve as a key resource responding to a wide range of cybersecurity threats, analysis, and remediation practices.



Responsibilities

  • Function as a senior level technical resource amongst a team of information security engineers and analysts to ensure the security and availability of the Firm’s technology systems and services.

  • Assist with and/or lead incident investigations during triage and containment efforts required to maintain the integrity and security of enterprise-wide systems and networks.

  • Participate in and lead hunting, detection, tool engineering, and triage automation functions.

  • Lead analysis across a wide range of tools and platforms used to continuously monitor the full enterprise technology environment including network, endpoint, application, and Cloud.

  • Analyze information systems utilizing various cybersecurity techniques and tools to aid in the detection and prevention of malicious activities across all threat vectors.

  • Coordinate, assist with, and/or lead red team and breach attack simulation activities in conjunction with the Security Operations and Threat Management strategy

  • Perform vulnerability research and analysis; assist with effective vulnerability management practices leading to a reduced risk profile for the firm

  • Assist with the evaluation and prioritization of vulnerabilities, including zero-day vulnerabilities, and coordinate effective mitigation strategies with technologies team to reduce the firm’s exposure and risk

  • Provide technical data and intelligence to assist Security Operations and Threat Management leadership with developing threat briefs responsible for communicating the firm’s risk associated with vulnerabilities and the firm’s external attack surface

  • Develop custom tools via scripting languages (i.e., Python, PowerShell).

  • Apply Cyber Threat Intelligence through enrichment, correlation, and attribution.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest industry trends and developments in cybersecurity.

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to other teams as needed.

  • Assist with creating reports and documents to track processes, progress on initiatives and review results.

  • Ensure the compliance of all applications, systems, and network infrastructure with application security policies, standards, and procedures.



Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience working in or supporting cybersecurity and information technology processes and/or tools

  • Knowledge of leading security control, monitoring, and analysis technologies

  • Experience working in an environment that adheres to internationally recognized standards such as SOC2, ISO27001

  • Excellent written and communication skills, including the ability to communicate security risks to a non-technical audience 

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork and facilitation

  • Security certifications such as GCIH, GREM, GNFA, GCFA, or similar 


 


This position will may require physical presence in Proskauer’s offices on a regular basis. The anticipated compensation range for this position is $100,000 - $140,000. The actual salary offered will be based on a number of factors including but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
