Provide students with an opportunity to explore their interests and talents through an extracurricular activity designed to promote self-confidence and leadership skills while providing a variety of worthwhile learning experiences that enhance and enrich the regular school program.
Minimum Qualifications:
Demonstrated knowledge of the particular activity and related experience
Ability to foster and sustain students’ interest in the activity
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Responsibilities:
Actively promotes the program and seeks student participation
Organizes and supervises regularly-scheduled activities for students after school hours
Provides appropriate supervision at all times to ensure a safe experience for all students
Ensures that all school night practices conclude by a reasonable time
Ensures the safety of all students by remaining with students until pick up by a parent after all practices and events
Will create and maintain appropriate communication with parents on any club-related activities
Attends all meetings and in-school events and supervises students at all related events
Maintains responsibility for the security of equipment and facilities
Responsible for proper handling of activity funds including but not limited to collection, depositing, payments, budgeting, and financial reporting in coordination with the ECA Treasurer
Arranges for any necessary transportation or scheduling of competitions
Performs other duties related to the student activity as assigned
Evaluates the program annually and makes recommendations for improvements as necessary
Application Requirements:
Acceptable results of an expanded criminal history background check done at the cost of the applicant
Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
Three professional references

This is a split position (0.5 FTE) with another Assistant Coach
