Job Description:
We are currently looking for a world-class DevOps Engineer to join one of our esteemed clients. This role involves working with a high-performing team of engineers, product managers, and designers. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure, automating and improving development and release processes, and ensuring systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats.
Responsibilities:
- Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure.
- Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers.
- Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes.
- Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results.
- Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats.
- Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and ‘fixes’.
- Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended.
- Planning out projects and being involved in project management decisions.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role.
- Deep understanding of DevOps, including best practices and processes.
- Proficient with git and git workflows.
- Extensive hands-on experience with programming in any modern language.
- Solid Computer Science fundamentals and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of distributed computing principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field from a top university.
- Ability to work within the GMT+8 time zone.
