Database Developer (Oracle)

Our client requires the services of an experienced Oracle database developer for the continued support, maintenance and ongoing development of its system. The ideal candidate should have experience with Oracle procedures and functions used by its external reports, forms, and batch processing jobs, plus experience with Oracle packages that contain the bulk of the business logic. The candidate will also have experience with triggers, user defined types, views, complex and composite indexes, and table partitions.

Responsibilities include:

-Diploma in computer science or a related discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution.
-Experience writing, modifying, integrating, testing, or documenting software code
-Experience maintaining existing applications by using a standardized methodology as required
-Experience generating ad hoc reports
-Experience assisting in the collection and documentation of user requirements
-Standardize design documents for large software applications
-Experience with Oracle Database 10g/11g
-Experience with Oracle Forms 10g/11g
-Experience with Oracle Report 10g/11g
-Experience with Oracle PL/SQL
-Experience with Quest Toad
-Experience with Linux/Unix
-Oracle Application DBA Management
-Standardize design documents for large software applications
-Experience with projects spanning multiple technical environments

Desirables:

-Experience with Oracle Discoverer 4/10g
-Experience with large application integrated with other systems
-Oracle Certified Professional
-Experience with Oracle SQL Developer
-Experience with Oracle Designer
-Experience with Tortoise Subversion
-Experience working with Oracle Application upgrades
-Experience with VMware Workstation
-Experience with UNIX Shell Scripts
