Ribbon is looking for a technically strong, energetic, highly collaborative, and passionate candidate to handle software design and development within our team.

The Ribbon Session Border Controller (SBC) product portfolio includes hardware-based options such as SBC 5400 and SBC 7000, virtualized Software Edition (SWe) and Containerized Edition (CNe). The micro-services SBC architecture enables secure real-time communications in multiple virtual and cloud platforms such as OpenStack, Red Hat OCP, and AWS. The software-only SBC features the same code base, resiliency, media processing, and security technology found in Ribbon’s SBC 5400 and SBC 7000 appliances, adapted for resilient and efficient deployment in virtual and cloud environments.

As part of our team, you will be responsible for application development, which includes requirements discussions, design, coding, unit/feature testing and working closely with the system architecture and test teams across different geographies.

Education and Qualifications:  

  • Currently enrolled in a Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science/Systems, or equivalent degree program

  • Machine Learning/Deep Learning using Neural Networks experience. The expectation is that the candidate will research and come up with an optimal solution for the problem.

·       Data science toolkits such as R, NumPy, Jupyter Notebook and statical models.

·       Optimizing inference performance across various platforms (on-device, cloud-based CPU, GPUs).

·       Create and fine tune scalable ML and Generative AI solutions for business problems.

  • Programming Languages, C / C++/ Python experience.

  • Linux platform experience.

  • Computer Networking knowledge.

·       Protocols, such as TLS 1.3, TCP/IP, HTTP and HTTPS, security frameworks and cryptographic algorithms.

  • Analytical, problem solving and debugging skills.

  • Enthusiastic, hardworking, a self-starter and eager to learn.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams, stakeholders and being a team player.

 

The position will be hybrid: ideally in the office Tuesday and Thursdays.
