Cybersecurity Instructor/Mentor

Claim Academy is seeking inspiring instructors/mentors to teach full-time and part-time Cybersecurity cohorts in-person.

The instructor will deliver an approved curriculum through engaging lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on assignments.

As a Claim Academy Instructor/Mentor:

• You will provide instruction/mentoring for our prestigious cybersecurity program based on an established curriculum approved by MDHEWD and the Department of Veteran Affairs.
• You will guide students through assigned course work and prepare students to take the CompTIA Security+ certification and become Cybersecurity Analysts.
• You will work with a collaborative team to meet our mission of changing lives, and provide a professional student-friendly classroom environment.
• This will be a full-time or part-time role based in-person or remote.
• This position reports to the Lead Instructor.
• Participate collaboratively in curriculum development.
• Prepare and deliver daily lectures, demonstrations, and assignments.
• Participate in academy initiatives by providing regular, accurate, and timely feedback to students and the academy concerning academics, behavior, attendance, etc.
• Motivate students to actively participate in all aspects of the educational process.
• Complete professional development and in-service activities in accordance with academy standards.
• Working Hours: Full-time instructor’s hours will be 9 am to 6 pm Central, Monday through Friday.
• Part-time instructor’s hours will be 4 pm to 7 pm Central, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
• Part-time mentor’s hours will be 4 pm to 7 pm Central, Tuesday and Thursday with 3 additional hours on Saturday.
• Other mentors are needed between the hours of 10 am and 7 pm Monday through Friday.
• Some flexibility may be required to meet the needs of the institution and its students.
