We are looking for a Cyber Security professional who will enhance and transform our security requirements. The ideal candidate will bring a strong cyber security background, can work independently if needed, and takes initiative to ensure they meet deadlines. The Cybersecurity Analyst will be responsible for assessing the company’s information and network security posture. They will take care of monitoring and protecting, enterprise hardware, software and internal networks from theft, loss, and unauthorized access. They will be responsible for defining, creating and maintain enterprise information security policies and disaster recovery plans. Additionally, they will be tasked with creating security awareness plans and training end users. Here are some of the main functions of this role:

Plan, implement and upgrade security measures and controls

Protect digital files and information systems against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction
-
Maintain data and monitor security access
-
Conduct internal and external security audits
-
Analyze security breaches to determine their root cause
-
Recommend and install appropriate tools and countermeasures
-
Identify potential weaknesses and implement measures, such as firewalls and encryption
-
Define, create, implement, and maintain corporate information security policies
-
Conduct security awareness training (Social Engineering, Phishing, Ransomware, etc.)
-
Coordinate security plans with outside vendors
-
Security assessments of network infrastructure, hosts and applications
-
Basic forensic analysis/ troubleshooting of how and why a breach or other compromise occurred
-
Plan for disaster recovery and create contingency plans in the event of any security breaches
-
Records, tracks, and documents any process related to IT Security department in accordance with departmental procedures
-
Generate reports for both technical and non-technical staff and stakeholders
-
Support any IT related problem

Performs other duties as assigned
Candidates must show:

Product/Service knowledge: Remains up to date on the latest services and products we provide and has a clear understanding of how each work. Working knowledge of telecom network offerings such as Ethernet, TDM, DSL and Wireless access providers also required.

Customer centric: Puts the customer first and creates a positive experience for the customer by building relationships and maximizing service/product offerings. Stays current with knowledge of products clients require and can foresee their future technology needs

Critical Thinking and Problem Solving: Has the ability to assess an issue, provide creative solutions, and analyze if the solution was viable.

Organizational support: Ability to follow company policies and procedures in accordance with contract/agreement(s) and Company Goals, completes administrative tasks thoroughly, accurately, promptly, and efficiently as possible with respect to human resources, financial management and profitability.

Technical skills: Constantly strives to increase technical knowledge to improve training tools through latest product knowledge, industry knowledge, and research.

Here’s what you need to have:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or five (5) years of relevant experience (minimum HS diploma or GED equivalent if no degree)

Security Certifications are a plus
-
Ability to lead teams of IT professionals in Cybersecurity related domains
-
Experience in risk, compliance, and information security policy development
-
Understanding of DLP, AV, email security and anti-malware tools
-
Basic understanding of TCP/IP, computer networking, routing, and switching
-
Basic Scripting using PowerShell, Python and/or PHP programming languages
-
Solid understanding of the business environment, including business practices, processes, and strategy
-
Cloud computing awareness
-
Experience meeting deadlines and budgets
-
Identity and access management (IAM) solutions
-
Endpoint protection technologies and techniques
-
Broad understanding of IDS/IPS systems, SIEM tools and network scanners
-
Understand policies, standards and procedures that follow statutory and regulatory requirements that cover internal and external parties, physical security systems, internet, and computer systems
-
Strong analytical skills, excellent report writing, and communication
-
The ability to work well independently or with a team
-
Flexible work schedule and regular, punctual, and consistent attendance
-
Must be able to work any shift and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary to meet the needs and goals of the business
