About the Role
Rich Data Co is a cloud native AI Decisioning company whose purpose is financial inclusion and increasing global access to credit. To achieve this, the Data Science function is key to our organisational success. As we are expanding in North America and growing our world-class team, we are seeking a Credit Risk Data Scientist or AI Engineer to join our Sydney-based team. This role will work closely with our customers on developing AI based solutions to solve complex credit-based decisions in the SMB and Commercial lending space.

About the Candidate

For the Credit Risk Data Scientist/AI Engineer position, candidates for this level of role should have at least 6 years’ experience in the Data Science domain. You will also have an advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Operation Research or Statistics, post graduate degree in relevant field preferred.
You will be proficient in programming language Python and SQL. Familiarity with Pandas and Scikit-learn is required. Exposure to other languages such as R, Perl, SAS will also be beneficial.
Knowledge of a wide variety of machine learning and statistical based modelling techniques is essential. You will also be comfortable working with non-traditional data sources such as transaction data, accounting data, e-commerce data.
We strongly prefer candidates with real-world Banking/ Financial Services experience within Australia, New Zealand or North America. The best fit for this role is that you are already working for:
You have a broad, big-picture understanding of Credit and how it impacts businesses and can communicate with both business and technical people. You understand the challenges banks face in understanding the decision-making process behind the lending process. Strong engagement and communication skills is critical for this role. You will be comfortable engaging in conversation with Businesspeople up to Head of Data Science/Business level.
