Compensation includes a base salary of $97,100.00 - $161,800.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Job Description

Cox Communications is seeking a highly skilled Google conversational AI Developer with expertise in Node.js, Google Cloud Architecture, and Generative AI applications. In this role, the candidate will design and develop intelligent conversational experiences using Google's customer engagement suite (formerly known as CCAI) and leverage Generative AI technologies to enhance customer engagement. The ideal candidate should also have a solid understanding of data and data science, enabling the integration of advanced AI models and data-driven insights into conversational systems.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop, deploy, and maintain conversational AI solutions using the Google Customer Engagement Suite and Generative AI models on Google Cloud.

  • Implement generative AI use cases, including text generation, virtual agents, and content personalization, to improve customer interactions.

  • Design scalable cloud architectures for chatbots, virtual agents, and AI-driven voice solutions using Node.js and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.

  • Integrate conversational AI solutions with backend systems, leveraging APIs, databases, and third-party services.

  • Work closely with data scientists to understand, manipulate, and integrate data sets into conversational AI workflows, optimizing the models for customer experiences.

  • Use Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Generative AI tools to enhance and fine-tune conversational flows.

  • Architect and manage cloud infrastructure on GCP for performance, scalability, and security.

  • Ensure continuous improvement of AI models, handling training, testing, deployment, and monitoring using best practices in machine learning and data management.

  • Enable/capture application log integrating with monitoring tools and setup synthetics and application monitoring/alert using monitoring tools

  • Implement cloud-based solutions and DevOps practices for continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD), ensuring efficient AI model deployment and lifecycle management.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, set technical direction, and ensure AI-driven solutions meet business needs.

Min Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 4 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 2 years’ experience; a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience; or 16 years’ experience in a related field

  • Strong experience with Google CCAI (Dialogflow, Contact Center AI, Vertex) in developing conversational agents and implementing AI-driven customer service solutions.

  • Experience implementing Generative AI applications (e.g., GPT-based models) and integrating them into conversational systems.

  • Strong understanding of data science principles and the ability to work with data scientists on AI model integration and optimization.

  • Hands-on experience with NLP, and Conversational AI model development.

  • 3+ years of experience in Node.js development, including building APIs, Integrating APIs and backend services.

  • 2+ years of experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as Cloud Functions, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Pub/Sub.

  • Experience designing and deploying cloud architectures on GCP, adhering to best practices for scalability, security, and performance.

  • Proficiency in developing and consuming RESTful APIs for integrating with various enterprise systems.

  • Familiarity with cloud security practices, including Identity and Access Management (IAM) and compliance standards.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in an agile, fast-paced environment.

  • Prioritize, coordinate, and deliver work based on strategic objectives laid out by management.

  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and experimentation within the team.

  • Excellent  communication, both written and verbal  skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization

Preferred Skills:

  • Google Cloud certifications such as Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Cloud Developer.

  • Experience with additional AI/ML tools and platforms (e.g., Vertex AI, TensorFlow).

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud infrastructure automation.

  • Experience with contact center platforms (e.g., Twilio, Genesys, Five9, Avaya) and their integration with AI-driven solutions.

  • Knowledge of data pipelines and frameworks for data preprocessing, model training, and deployment.

  • Strong understanding of  Contact center ecosystem and business processes.

  • Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, Google Anthos) is a plus.
