Description

The Center of Biostatistics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in the Population Health Science and Policy department is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Clinical Database programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in developing and maintaining clinical databases, with proficiency in RedCap, Excel, or similar programs. The primary responsibilities will include optimizing database structures, creating output automations, managing data processes, and ensuring data integrity for various clinical projects. .Must be able to work independently, under minimal supervision and as part of a team. 



Responsibilities
  • Create, update, maintain and validate REDCap databases for research studies, including designing data entry forms and surveys, and setting up user access and permissions. 
  •  Manage databases through review, computerization, cleaning and auditing for compliance with standard operating procedures, and regulatory agency guidelines.
  • Review, analyze, and validate data to ensure consistency, integrity and accuracy based on specific guidelines.
  • Assist with standardization of REDCap management procedures such as documentation for departmental operating procedures.
  •  Maintain documentation and data quality management guidelines. 
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for REDCap users, including identifying and resolving system issues. 
  • Recognizes recurring issues and analyze causes in order to reach a solution. Generate plans and 
  • Maintain and build new features in RedCap database. 
  •  Participates in the development of and implementation of ongoing quality assurance and performance improvement activities. 
  • Maintains knowledge of current regulations and technologies related to data management


Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • 1-2 years of experience in systems programming, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 2 years of experience working with research data
  • Hands on experience with development of research data capture system (REDCap preferred) and data management
