About the role 


We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Analyst – Artificial Intelligence to join our Digital Services division. In this role, you will support the strategic development, adoption, and execution of generative AI and digital transformation initiatives. You will analyze business processes, systems, and data to drive innovation and facilitate business outcomes by leveraging emerging AI technologies. Acting as a bridge between technical AI teams and business stakeholders, you will ensure AI solutions deliver tangible business value. 


This role will be based within the Essential Energy footprint with the ability to work from home in a hybrid work environment.  


Key responsibilities 



  • Prepare business analysis to drive efficiencies, productivity improvement, and alignment with corporate and AI strategy.

  • Facilitate the design and delivery of AI Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and pilots.

  • Provide technical, financial, and forecasting advice.

  • Develop metrics for tracking performance against business requirements.

  • Support workshops with business users and stakeholders to develop problem statements and effective solutions.

  • Recommend and implement improved business processes, guidelines, standards, and reporting.

  • Provide technical advice on urgent business requests and ad hoc reporting.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications.

  • Develop support documentation and communication for non-technical audiences, focusing on explaining AI processes and their implications.

  • Promote respect, equity, diversity, and inclusion, adhering to the highest ethical standards.


About You 


You are a dynamic and forward-thinking Business Analyst with a deep passion for Artificial Intelligence. Your enthusiasm for AI drives you to stay ahead of the curve, constantly exploring the latest advancements and how they can be leveraged to solve complex business challenges. You possess a strong analytical mindset, coupled with excellent problem-solving skills, allowing you to dissect intricate data and derive actionable insights aligned with our organisations strategic goals and objectives. 


To be successful in the position you will possess:



  • Experience in a similar role, ideally within the Energy/Electrical or Utilities Industry.

  • Experience in analysing business and operational data, preparing reports and presentations for senior management.

  • Experience in managing projects and programs from inception to completion.

  • Experience in developing standards, procedures, and guidelines for complex business processes and systems with AI and digital technologies.

  • Proficiency in reporting and business intelligence tools, especially Microsoft products.

  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proven stakeholder management experience.

  • Familiarity with ethical AI practices, data governance, and AI model lifecycle management.


Required Qualifications 



  • Diploma in Business/Technology or equivalent experience.
