Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Artificial Intelligence Specialist who is passionate about education and the role of AI in shaping future learning landscapes. This specialist will play a pivotal role in integrating AI technologies into our curriculum, focusing on developing digital literacy and responsible data use among students and staff.
Essential Performance Responsibilities:

Develop and implement an AI integration strategy that aligns with our educational goals, focusing on enhancing digital literacy and critical understanding of AI.

Collaborate with curriculum developers to infuse AI and data literacy concepts across various subjects.

Design and conduct both in person and asynchronous professional development workshops for educators, focusing on the pedagogical applications of AI and data analysis.

Create student-centered learning resources and activities that foster understanding of AI, its implications, and ethical data use.

Guide educators and students in understanding and applying data analytics within educational contexts.

Stay abreast of emerging trends in AI and education technology, evaluating their potential application in our educational setting.

Advocate for digital citizenship and ethical considerations in AI and data usage.

Facilitate collaborations with technology experts and educational technologists to enrich our AI education initiatives.

Measure the effectiveness of AI integration in the classroom and provide insights for continuous improvement.
Additional Duties\: Perform other duties as assigned by the Management Information Systems Chief Information Officer.
Equipment\: This position requires proficiency in Microsoft Operating Systems and Software. Must comply with Wichita Public Schools Acceptable Use Policy.
Travel\: Limited travel between schools and central offices may be required.

Qualification Profile:

A High School Education or GED equivalent is required

Bachelor’s degree in education or a related technical field is preferred.
