The Opportunity:

Whether developing AI risk management guides or implementing cybersecurity opportunities, our clients need a consultant who can help manage strategic Artificial Intelligence (AI) cybersecurity planning. That is why we need you, an experienced AI Cybersecurity Advisor who can develop and implement AI cybersecurity strategy and architecture and provide high-quality support.

As part of our team, you'll serve as a strategic technical consultant to the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H), helping conceptualize, create, and execute advanced government-funded research and development programs to accelerate better health outcomes for everyone. You’ll work with world-class scientists and engineers to support the development of high-impact solutions to society's most challenging health problems. Leverage technical expertise to provide strategic assessments of new technologies in support to senior ARPA-H decision makers. Maintain responsibility for producing and presenting findings and recommendations to a team of colleagues and clients on the feasibility and potential impact of future research programs, assisting with the management of current programs, and facilitating commercialization of successfully developed technologies. 

You'll serve as an AI Cybersecurity Advisor helping clients to develop and monitor cybersecurity, implement AI, and leverage information security knowledge to help clients achieve their goals. You will be responsible for defining AI solutions, collaborating with clients, and proposing opportunities to leverage AI for securing and defending ARPA-H systems, and be readily available to shift your focus to fulfill emerging client requests. Your attention to detail, flexibility, communication skills, understanding of the client's mission, and problem-solving will enable the mission's success.

What You’ll Work On:

  • Directly support senior leadership with establishing and implementing the cybersecurity principles in Executive Order 14110, guidelines in the NIST AI Risk Management Framework, and other federal issuances to secure the agency’s AI solutions.
  • Develop and maintain an AI Risk Management Guide for ARPA-H AI System Owners.
  • Engage ARPA-H AI system teams on implementing AI cybersecurity requirements, guidance, and best practices.
  • Identify, analyze, and propose opportunities to leverage AI for securing and defending ARPA-H systems.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience in AI security
  • 1+ years of experience in cybersecurity
  • Experience with adversarial AI attacks such as model evasion, data poisoning, model inversion, membership inference, model theft, and LLM jailbreaks and prompt injection
  • Experience with defending AI models against adversarial attacks using methods such as adversarial training, differential privacy, and malicious prompt detection
  • Experience conducting AI risk modeling and AI red teaming exercises
  • Ability to operate independently within a fast-paced start-up environment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • HS diploma or GED

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $67,700.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
