AR/VR Developer III

Overview

SCCI has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) Developer to join our team in support of the Battle Management System (BMS), an innovative DoD program. If you are an innovative thinker with a background in AI/ML, have advanced knowledge and demonstrated experience in integrating AI applications with XR/VR game engines, and are seeking to join a dedicated team of professionals, this is the position for you! BMS specializes in rapidly developing and deploying innovative technology solutions to outmatch the evolving threats faced by our warfighters. This position is located in Dahlgren, VA.

Responsibilities:

• Training machine learning models through Python and standard frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Keras
• Deploying AI applications through systems such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Working collaboratively with teams utilizing gaming engines to conceptualize, prototype, design, and code a variety of visualizations that can be used on mobile, desktop or XR/VR platforms
• Developing AI/ML integrations with visualization engines such as Unity Engine, Unreal Engine, and Nvidia Omniverse.
• Collaborating with other developers, engineers, data scientists, testers, and AI specialists within a rapid development framework

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret Security Clearance
• Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in computer science, machine learning, data science, video game programming, video game design or field directly related to the responsibilities of the position; Or five (5) years direct hands-on experience working with AI/ML and XR/VR development; Or a military background with relevancy to AI/ML and XR/VR development
• Experience demonstrating the ability to work with a technical team to concept, prototype, design, code, and engineer a variety of integrations for AI/ML with visualizations
• Five (5) years of direct hands-on experience with computer vision concepts and/or training machine learning models through Python and standard frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Keras; as well as familiarity with deployment of AI applications through systems such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Ability to manage priorities while supporting multiple projects

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Experience integrating with visualization engines such as Unity Engine, Unreal Engine, and Nvidia Omniverse
