Enterprise AI & Analytics Transformation (EAIT)


 


EAIT is the AI center of excellence driving business value through impactful AI initiatives across all UOB business units. EAIT achieve this by a strong focus on AI expertise and continuous project delivery while spearheading AI innovation and research. EAIT also drives enterprise analytics transformation, and is responsible for ensuring robust AI ethics and model governance in UOB.


Job Responsibilities

UOB Data Management Office is looking for an experienced and innovative Machine Learning Engineering Expert to join DMO’s dynamic Enterprise AI & Transformation team.


 


You will be expected to play an integral role in shaping and executing our AI strategy and enterprise AI platform, leverage your expertise in ML algorithms, engineering, and best practices to design, develop, and deploy high-impact AI solutions that solve real-world banking challenges and create significant value for the enterprise.


 


Key Responsibilities:



  • Partner with group technology to develop enterprise AI platform and operation to help drive AI industrialization within the bank.

  • Work closely with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to understand the business needs, develop end-to-end ML solutions, and deploy into production environment.

  • Design and develop re-useable data asset, libraries, frameworks, and ML tools to accelerate model development.

  • Collaborate with technology team to adopt best-in-class industry practices to streamline model deployment processes.

  • Build and optimize data pipeline to ensure robust and high-quality data feed for both model training and inference.

  • Develop appropriate tools/apps/UIs to complete AI products for business stakeholders.

  • Stay head of industry trend, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement in UOB AI/ML process.


 


Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in computer science, data science, software engineering or related fields.

  • Minimum 8 years of experience as an ML Engineer or similar role, with proven track record of developing and deploying ML solutions into production environment.

  • In-depth knowledge of ML algorithms, development tools, model life cycle and deployment patterns.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java or Scala.

  • Experience in on-premises and cloud-based AI platforms and technologies; familiar with DevOps and CI/CD practices.

  • Strong communication skills and able to convey/articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Working experience in banking/financial sector is a plus.
