About the Role
As a Systems/Network Administrator, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and upgrading our company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal system performance, and troubleshooting any issues that arise. This role combines both systems administration and network management, giving you the opportunity to work with a wide range of technologies and systems. You’ll be at the forefront of ensuring that our networks and systems remain secure, reliable, and efficient, while also providing support for users across the organization.


What You'll Do

  • Manage and maintain company IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and hardware.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Administer user accounts, manage permissions, and ensure data security.
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Provide technical support to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Implement data backup and recovery strategies for business continuity.
  • Plan and execute IT projects, such as network upgrades and server migrations.
  • Collaborate with vendors to support hardware and software systems.
  • Regularly travel to a local sister company for system support and troubleshooting (unscheduled travel may occur).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in systems and network administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with networking protocols and devices (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls).
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and provide timely support in a fast-paced environment.
