Systems Developer
Summary:
This position is responsible for designing, developing, testing and implementing complex applications with an insurance administration system. This position is involved with the full software development cycle including production support involving research and analysis
Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain applications to meet client specifications
• Modify, repair, or expand existing programs to correct errors and/or improve performance
• Build or configure the system to perform business functions
• Work with clients to interpret specifications to development goals
• Take independent action to correct problems encountered during system operations
• Maintain integrity of program logic and coding
• On-call support
• Performs other duties as may be assigned
Essential:
• Proficient in Object Oriented analysis, design and programming
• Knowledgeable with JAVA and/or Angular programming language
• Proficiency with SQL for creating, retrieving, updating and delineating data
• Knowledgeable of HTML, CSS, and Javascript concepts
• Familiar with Crystal and/or Windward reporting development
• Familiar with API Development
• Familiar with Design Patterns and UML notation
• Familiar with Eclipse, JBuilder, or equivalent Java IDE
• Familiar with Data Warehousing concepts and ETL process

• Ability to think analytically about problems assigned and/or encountered
• Adjusts and is flexible to meet changing needs and demands of clients
• Performs duties with a customer service mindset
Education, Training, and Experience
• Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent professional experience
• Prior systems development experience
