Description

The Software Developer I role focuses on designing effective solutions to address business challenges. This role is also responsible for developing innovative software, following best practices, and ensuring the long-term sustainability of enterprise-level applications.

Responsibilities

• Participates in development of new or existing software applications to support company goals
• Adheres to Agile/Scrum processes and procedures
• Write code according to Test Driven Development (TDD) philosophies
• Demonstrates the principle of leaving code better than you found it and writing new code that others can easily understand
• Actively involved in sprint planning and sprint meetings
• Actively involved in presenting completed work in sprint reviews
• Demonstrates the ability to deliver work on time and in full
• Possesses a learner mentality and works to understand first, then implement
• Interfacing with global team leaders across different departments
• Proactively communicating on internal team deliverables (code reviews, task discussions, face to face engagements)
• Willing and eager to help others solve problems
• Demonstrates an ability to connect with end users as a representative of the development team
• Utilizes best practice development processes in areas including software release cycle management, version control repositories, debugging, and documentation
• Demonstrates excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills
• Exercises independent judgement in developing solutions to problems encountered during development

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing software to solve business problems
• Experience in C#
• Experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and modern software design patterns
• Proven communicator and team focused approach
• Knowledge of RESTful service architecture and web patterns
  
  

Desired Qualifications

• Knowledge of Agile methodology and Scrum principles
• Experience with web scraping and HTTP requests/responses
• Experience with Test/Behavior Driven Development
• Experience with Github
• Experience with Docker
• Experience with cloud-based architectures, preferably Microsoft Azure
• DevOps experience (including source control, continuous integration, deployment techniques, unit testing)
• Additional experience with Entity Framework (ORM/Code First Database), serverless functions, Kubernetes
