About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer to join our APAC technology team. This role focuses on developing and supporting complex enterprise-grade systems that meet the demands of a leading interdealer broker. You will work with cross-functional teams to build, enhance, and maintain mission-critical applications and integrations that support Traditions growing business within the region. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise and is adept at building resilient systems while collaborating with stakeholders to understand business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with other developers, architects, and business teams to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.
- Contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, from planning and requirements gathering to testing, deployment, and support.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices to support continuous improvement in Traditions technology stack.
Job Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in software development within the financial services industry, ideally with exposure to interdealer broking or related fields.
- Proven experience with enterprise-grade application development, integration, and support.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related technical discipline.
- Proficiency in a range of programming languages and frameworks, including .NET (Framework & Core), C#, Java, and Python.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Apache Kafka, ActiveMQ, ElasticSearch, and other middleware tools.
- Strong database management skills (Oracle DB, MS SQL Server, and NoSQL databases like MongoDB).
- Familiarity with OTC interest rate and FX derivatives instruments is an advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively in both technical and business contexts.
- Knowledge of MS Excel and VBA macros is a plus.
- Core stack: .NET (Framework & Core), ASP.NET, Blazor, Windows Forms, WCF.
- Additional tools and frameworks: Docker, Apache Kafka, ActiveMQ, PowerShell, ElasticSearch, Apache Camel.
- Programming languages: C#, Java, Python, and JavaScript (including frameworks like Vue.js).
- Databases: Proficiency in Oracle DB, MS SQL Server, and NoSQL (MongoDB).
- Cloud experience with AWS is beneficial.
