Job Description: Senior Software Developer - DCFS Server Modernization Project
Location: Springfield, IL (Hybrid Onsite)

Project: DCFS Server Modernization
Job Responsibilities:
  • Project Leadership: Lead the software development efforts for the DCFS Server Modernization Project, focusing on migrating legacy applications to modern Microsoft Servers.
  • Onsite Requirements: Conduct an initial 3-week onsite period, working 3 days per week at 1 North Old State Capital Plaza, Springfield, IL. Post-introductory period, work onsite 3 days per month, with the potential for up to 3 additional days per month as needed.
  • Full-Stack Development: Engage in full-stack development using .NET technologies, IIS, and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Application Development: Develop, test, and implement application modifications, re-platforming, rebuilding, or decommissioning as necessary.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to ensure that project goals and timelines are successfully met.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide strong technical and functional leadership throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring clear communication and guidance.
Required Skills:
  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience as a Senior Software Developer with a strong track record of leading large-scale IT projects.
  • Agile SDLC: Extensive experience with Agile Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Proficiency with JIRA and Microsoft Azure DevOps (ADO).
  • Strong knowledge of .NET full-stack development concepts, including Internet Information Services (IIS).
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including database migration and performance tuning.
  • Proficiency in ASP.Net application development, XSLT, JavaScript, and Restful API development.
  • Experience in migrating applications to new hosting platforms.
  • Leadership and Communication: Demonstrated ability to provide technical and functional leadership, manage multiple tasks effectively, and communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders.
Beneficial Skills (Not Required):
  • Industry Experience: Previous experience working with Health and Human Services Agencies.
  • Additional Technical Skills: Familiarity with legacy and modern Microsoft Server environments, including virtualization.
