As Senior Front End Developer with the Digital Team in the Marketing Sales and Digital (MSD) Organization, you will be at the forefront of crafting innovative solutions, creating state-of-the-art features, and implementing robust, high-performing systems using AWS cloud technology. This critical position involves not only envisioning, developing, and deploying solutions that offer extraordinary user experiences and transformative capabilities but also spearheading engineering endeavors to set the bar for a high performing engineering team. Your expertise will be essential in fostering collaboration across development, infrastructure, and product discussions from start to finish, ensuring our solutions are both impactful and transformative. In your role, you will leverage your extensive experience and deep expertise to guide the team through the complete SDLC process, encompassing analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support for a suite of impactful features across multiple products. Your leadership skills will be pivotal as you provide strategic direction, mentor other engineers, and ensure alignment with organizational goals and standards, always seeking input and collaboration with senior associates and product owners to drive innovative and high-quality solutions.

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field or equivalent experience
  • You have a minimum of 5 years  of software engineering best practices, including unit testing, conducting code reviews, and creating design documentation.
  • You have a minimum of 7 years of software engineering experience, specializing in React.js and can lead engineers in state management, component lifecycle, component composition and performance optimization.  You're adept in HTML/CSS, MUI, TypeScript, Vitest, linters, formatters, Storybook etc.. and more than comfortable sharing your expertise.  Full Stack development is a plus, using Java, Node or similar language as is Data Modeling, and other DB related skills. Next.js experience is also highly appreciated.
  • You have a minimum 4 years of incorporating best practices related to APIs (including OAuth, SSL, CORS, JWT, etc.) and you are adept at creating visually attractive designs that prioritize usability, utility, UX,  as well as cross-browser compatibility and performance. 
  • You have a minimum 3 years in DevOps AWS, skilled at deploying apps on AWS EKS or similar clouds. Shows practical expertise in various AWS services such as Gateway, Lambda, and Aurora/PostgreSQL..
  •  Preferred experience with Terraform, harness for efficient code pipelines and AWS certifications are a big plus

Southern California Base Salary Range: $148,045-$236,872

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
