ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Electronics design:

    • Sensor interfacing: potentiometers, encoders, temperature, current, accelerometers, IMUs, etc.

    • Communication busses: CAN bus, RS232/RS422/RS485, Ethernet including GigE, Bluetooth, etc.

    • Analog circuits: op-amps, comparators, filters

    • Digital logic: logic gates, flip-flops

    • CPUs: MCUs, DSPs, ARM processors, SoCs and SOMs

    • Power electronics: AC/DC and DC/DC power supplies and power management, brushless motor control (MOSFETS, drivers), power generators, battery systems, etcโ€ฆ

    • Drafting of assembly drawings for cables and wiring harnesses



  • Circuit design, simulation, and prototyping (experience with Altium desired)

    • Schematic capture

    • Layout



  • DFM, BOM management, PCB fabrication data generation

  • PCB manufacturing

  • Interfacing with Board and Assembly houses

  • Testing and debugging electronic systems

  • Experience in theย creating technical documentation (in a regulated environment, desired)

  • Familiarity with instrumentation & tools required for debug, test and integration of embedded systems, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.


DESIRED SKILLS:



  • Design for EMI/EMC and familiarity with EMI/EMC lab testing

  • Familiarity with Spice

  • Experience with designing boards with complex mechanical integration requirements and tight manufacturing tolerances

  • Familiarity with military standard testing processes and techniques

  • Development of device drivers in C/C+

  • Experience with programmable logic design (CPLD, FPGA, VHDL, Verilog)


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:



  • Masterโ€™s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related field. Bachelorโ€™s degree with experience will be considered.

  • Minimum 3 years of overall engineering experience


This specific position requires U.S. Citizenship. The applicant must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. An active Secret clearance is preferred but not required.
