Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our small, high-performing infrastructure team. In this role, you will play a key role in shaping the overall DevOps strategy, driving technical execution, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of our infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hands-on work, technical excellence, and a proven track record of leadership in fast-paced startup environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of the overall DevOps roadmap and initiatives, aligning them with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, define solutions, and drive the implementation of infrastructure projects.
  • Design, build, and optimize our infrastructure, automation, and deployment pipelines to support the development and delivery of our products and services.
  • Drive technical excellence and best practices within the team, mentoring and coaching team members to foster a culture of learning and innovation.
  • Collaborate with software engineering teams to streamline development processes, improve efficiency, and ensure the reliability and performance of our applications.
  • Handle day-to-day technical operations, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving infrastructure issues to minimize downtime and ensure a seamless user experience.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in DevOps and cloud computing, and apply them to enhance our capabilities and competitive advantage.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 8-10 years of experience in a DevOps or related role, with a strong background in infrastructure design, automation, and deployment.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and automated testing frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a small, high-performing team.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a passion for technical excellence and innovation.

For California, Colorado, New York, Washington, and remote roles: The compensation range for this role is $113,210 to $196,720. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.Β
