Job Description:

The Regional Project Manager for the Cybersecurity Program will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing cybersecurity projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This role requires a unique blend of project management expertise and cybersecurity knowledge to be able to work closely with the customer to identify cybersecurity needs and support the task order process from proposal to execution. The Project Manager will coordinate the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan, while also defining project objectives and overseeing quality control throughout the project lifecycle.

The Regional Project Manager for Cybersecurity will also support business development activities with customers beyond the Airport customer and help establish a local cybersecurity practice for Parsons.

This position is local to the Los Angeles area and requires a person to be onsite.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage cybersecurity projects from initiation through completion, specifically tailored to the airport's operational needs.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Work with the customer to identify cybersecurity needs and assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Report and escalate to management as needed.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks, with a focus on airport-specific threats.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Meet with internal stakeholders to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project.
  • Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members' individual strengths, skill sets, and experience levels.
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
  • Use and continually develop leadership skills.
  • Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Business Development Responsibilities:

  • Attend meetings and conferences with potential customers to offer Parson’s cybersecurity products and services
  • Support the Parsons BD teams in winstrats and business development activities
  • Participate in proposal development, capture activities and business development activities in the region and in the USA.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in design and implementation of Cybersecurity for critical infrastructure such as rail, airports, utilities, etc.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field or equivalent years of experience in the field.
  • Proven working experience in project management, preferably in the cybersecurity field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or similar cybersecurity certification is required.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies.
  • Experience with cybersecurity in critical infrastructure environments, preferably in aviation or transportation.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with project management software tools.

Preferred Skills:

  • Cybersecurity certifications such as Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and or  Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GISCP).
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards such as TSA regulations, APTA, DHS/CISA, NIST, ISA/IEC 62443 etc.
  • Experience with airport-specific cybersecurity challenges and solutions.

Salary Range: 

$117,000.00 - $210,600.00
