How you contribute
We have an opening for a roboticist within the Robotics Group. You will be responsible for designing and implementing advanced, production grade autonomy capabilities for our Hovermap product. While youβre doing this, youβll be getting great exposure to multiple areas in the field of robotics and engaging in your passion to make real robots do real things.
Here's what we need
- Depending on your area of expertise, research and implement algorithms for path planning, perception, state estimation, guidance and navigation, for deployment on unmanned ground and aerial vehicles operating in GPS denied environments.
- Participate in field testing activities.
- Contribute to software development across our autonomy stack.
- Contribute to the development of automated testing frameworks.
- Contribute to ideation, design and implementation of new features, and maintenance of existing functionality.
- Effectively collaborate and engage with team members as well as stakeholders across the technology group.
- Deliver high quality, well tested, and well documented code.
How you'll succeed
- Masters/PhD in Robotics or similar, or 3+ years of equivalent industry experience.
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing autonomy algorithms.
- 2+ years of software engineering experience with modern practices using C++11 onwards.
- Familiarity with ROSΒ 1, 2,Β or other middleware frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills, and a high level of self motivation.
- Python development experience.
- Experience developing on embedded Linux platforms.
- Experience working with physical robotic platforms, in particular drones with PX4, Ardupilot or DJI autopilots, or major commercial UGV platforms.
