SUBJECT: ROBOTICS AND AUTOMATION TECHNOLOGY – CHAPTER 74 VOCATIONAL ED.

REPORTS TO: Building Principal


ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE:
This position is accountable for teaching and supervision of students in Robotics and Automation Technology state frameworks and curriculum disciplines under the direction of the department head.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (to be included along with other responsibilities)

1. Responsible for the development and implementation of departmental curriculum objectives and competencies.
2. Responsible for the integration of the department’s curriculum where appropriate.
3. Responsible for assuring equal educational opportunity to all individuals regardless of race, color, gender, age, religion, national origin, gender identity, marital status, sexual orientation, disability or homelessness.
4. Performance of other job-related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Massachusetts teacher’s approval (Chapter 74) in Robotics and Automation Technology program or ability to obtain within 1 year.
2. Bachelor's Degree
3. Four years minimum experience in Engineering/Electromechanical, Pneumatic, Hydraulics, Robotics, Injection Molding, PLC’s and/or CNC. Advanced degree may be substituted for one year of working experience.
4. Evidence of mastery of a wide variety of teacher competencies and the understanding of instructional techniques.
5. Evidence of educational leadership.
6. Competent in computer applications (2D & 3D design software).
7. Knowledge of OSHA and EPA Regulations.
8. SEI Endorsement

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Demonstrated experience supporting students with special needs.
2. Ability to speak Albanian, Arabic, Nepali, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese or an African Language.
3. Demonstrated experience with second language acquisition.

WORK YEAR: 184 days

SALARY: Salary scale shown is based on the candidate holding a Bachelor's Degree. Potential to increase based on degree level
