Role Overview: We are currently recruiting for a Risk Systems Developer to join a prestigious hedge fund's risk development team. In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Risk Development to build and enhance risk systems infrastructure, contributing to the firm's success in the competitive financial markets.


 


Key Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with the risk team to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

  • Design, develop, and maintain risk systems and analytics tools using Python and SQL.

  • Implement enhancements and optimizations to existing risk systems to improve performance and scalability.

  • Utilize risk modeling techniques to develop quantitative analytics solutions.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in risk management and financial technology.

 


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.

  • 5-8 years of experience in developing risk systems or financial software solutions.

  • Proficiency in Python and SQL is essential; experience with additional programming languages is a plus.

  • Strong understanding of financial markets, risk management principles, and investment strategies.

  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

 


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience working in a hedge fund, investment bank, or financial technology company.

  • Familiarity with risk modeling techniques and quantitative analytics.

  • Previous experience with building analytics tools or business intelligence solutions.
