Job Summary: A Network Administrator performs a wide variety of evaluation, maintenance, installation and training tasks to ensure the computer network performance meets organization and user satisfaction. A Network Administrator also provides direction, information, and recommendations regarding network configurations and installations. Travel between CCWV’s locations is required.
Responsibilities and Essential Duties:
- Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g. routers, switches, firewalls, WAPs, VPN, QoS)
- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.
- Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability
- Monitors system for resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
- Provide Level 2-3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
- Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
- Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the organization’s risk assessment team.
- Managing assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives.
- Responding to inquiries from staff, executives, service providers, site personnel and outside vendors and etc. to provide technical assistance and support.
- Serve in part of on-call rotation
- Supervising the administration of systems and servers related network to ensure availability of services to authorized users.
- Confer with staff, users, and management to establish requirements for new systems or modifications.
- Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service.
- Supervise and coordinate workers engaged in problem-solving, monitoring, and installing data communication equipment and software.

- Record/report the need for service maintenance or repair of equipment and remove any faulty equipment from service.
- Consistently evaluate work and determine if further steps are needed to meet departmental expectations.
- Take initiative to do or redo inadequate or incomplete work, even if it is not yours.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
