Network Administrator

Job Summary:

Ensure the stability and integrity of in-house voice, data, video and wireless network services, and information systems that support core organizational functions. This is achieved by planning, designing, developing, monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing the hardware, software, and provisioned circuits.

Job Responsibilities

· Responsible for resolving IT hardware and software infrastructure (servers, network, etc.) issues using systems analysis techniques and procedures to ensure the appropriate function of hardware, software, or system functional specifications.

· Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with IT infrastructure, including user systems, servers, storage, and network connectivity.

· Provide system administration for assigned infrastructure and establish and maintain user security.

· Apply security patches and operating system updates to ensure the security and integrity of the technical environment.

· Oversight of new and existing infrastructure utilizing third-party vendors as appropriate.

· Maintain all configuration documentation for assigned infrastructure.

· Windows Server 2008+

· Basic Understanding of WiFi systems, security and troubleshooting

· Knowledge of and experience in Local Area Network (LAN) design, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and sustainment.

· VOIP

· Demonstrate excellent customer service attitude

· Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience

· Working technical knowledge of current protocols, operating systems, and standards

· Troubleshooting / analytical / decision-making skills

Projects / responsibilities:

· Server OS / Application updates

· Microsoft server monthly patching

· Systems health monitoring

· Network segmentation (VLAN isolation for select equipment)

· Project management of contractors for all network and server deployments

o Network Switches companywide FY 2025-2026 target

o Access Points companywide FY 2025

· ManageEngine Server vulnerabilities review and resolution

· Testing Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity – backup subject matter expert for our backup software solutions
