Eagle Brook Church is a multi-site church looking for a customer focused and innovative Network Administrator to join our team at the Operation Center located in Hugo, MN. This person will be responsible for installing, maintaining and monitoring the network infrastructure of the church. A person with a solid understanding of networking principles and good troubleshooting skills will thrive in this role. POSITION SUMMARY
The Network Administrator will administer and oversee the implementation, organization, and troubleshooting of the network, hardware, and underlying communications protocols. Reports to the Lead Infrastructure Engineer.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitors the assigned network, ensuring optimal function and minimal downtime
- Assists with identification, troubleshooting, and resolution of user data communication problems
- Monitors and analyzes network load including traffic and utilization trends
- Installs and maintains peripheral devices including printers, switches, routers, and other equipment
- Conducts periodic diagnostics and testing to ensure optimal network function and minimal downtime
- Ensures networks are protected from physical harm, viruses, unauthorized users, and damage to data by developing and monitoring security procedures or collaborating with network security resources
- Maintains daily logs and knowledge bases, documenting steps required to resolve network problems

QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in information technology
- Follower of Jesus and aligns with Eagle Brook’s nine core beliefs
- Experience with TCP/IP network protocols, functions, and operations
- Experience with WAN/LAN/WLAN protocols and software, including troubleshooting
- Ability to analyze and diagnose network problems using network tools and analyzers
- Experience supporting Palo Alto or another firewall appliance
- Organized self-starter
Preferred
- Ability to implement and troubleshoot complex network configurations
- Experience with network management and performance monitoring systems
- Hands-on experience configuring and installing network equipment and cabling
- Any or multiple of the following certifications: CompTIA A+, Net+, Security+, CCNA
WORK SCHEDULE
Generally, Monday – Friday at the Operations Center located in Hugo, MN, with occasional evening and weekend duties as needed.
