  • At the direction of IT Management, develops types of mobile apps that increase citizen engagement and functionality for County Services.
  • Meets with other county departments and offices to gather and document requirements for presentation to the management team.
  • Develop documentation as appropriate, including design documentation, comments in code, end-user documentation.
  • Determines appropriate computer languages to use in developing mobile apps by evaluating emerging mobile technologies and their potential to optimize our current platform.
  • Works closely with IT teams to determine the resources needed to develop/support, test, debug, secure and deploy mobile apps.
  • Recommends changes and enhancements to mobile applications.

  • Develops processes to allow for the thorough testing of mobile apps throughout the development life cycle to include platforms for smartphones and tablets in both Android and iOS environments.

  • Develops a thorough knowledge of deployment requirements for each app store.
  • Develops policies and processes for the selection, development, implementation, utilization, and maintenance of mobile apps across all levels of the organization.

  • Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.

    REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5 years of experience deploying mobile application for both Android and IOS. Strong experience in React Native mobile development preferred. Experience with JavaScript, or PHP Programming and debugging skill is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Information Technology Principles; Strong multi-platform system technical skills; strong analytical and system design skills; strong background in technical support and project/operations management.
  • Exceptional supervisory and organizational skills, verbal and written communications skills; interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with the public, vendors, other employees, and elected officials.

STARTING SALARY RANGE: $39.68 - $49.60 hourly based on qualifications

CLOSING DATE: Upon filling position
